These shuffleboard courts were first established in 1930. They were some of the first courts in the country and the first in Michigan. In the 1930's National tournaments were held in Traverse City.
The Senior Center hosts shuffleboard leagues and tournaments throughout the summer season for members. The National Cherry Festival sponsors an annual Shuffleboard tournament for all seniors to participate in.
There are 10 courts available for public use. Equipment rental is available during normal business hours - Monday-Friday 8 am - 6 pm. Donation accepted for all rentals.
Shuffleboard is an ageless sport - its fun for the kids, parents and grandparents.
