The Grand Traverse Hiking Club Chapter is responsible for developing and maintaining 100 miles of the North Country National Scenic Trail in Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Wexford and Manistee Counties including parts of the Pere Marquette State Forest.
Mission

The North Country Trail Association develops, maintains, protects, and promotes the North Country National Scenic Trail as the premier hiking path across the northern tier of the United States through a trail-wide coalition of volunteers and partners.

About Us

The Grand Traverse Hiking Club is a North Country Trail Association (NCTA) Chapter, comprised of a small group of outdoor enthusiasts located in and around the Traverse City, Michigan area.

Regular meetings are held monthly throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring months. Several outdoor events and outings are also conducted throughout the year.
