Over the past decade Garfield Township has been an area leader in parks and recreation investment. We invite you to explore our five Township-owned parks and natural areas offering over 500-acres of play, miles of trail, and ongoing improvements to active recreation areas.
Together with parkland owned by other organizations such as the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, County Parks, Joint Recreational Authority, and City of Traverse City, there is nearly 1,300 acres of park and natural area to explore within Garfield Township. We are excited to be a part of the Parks and Recreation Network so that we can continue to expand recreational opportunity for our residents and visitors!
Garfield Township partners with the Grand Traverse Conservation District to manage its parks.
